As we all know, Olight SR51 Intimidator is a search and rescue flashlight designed to provide strong reach and illumination in a compact package. The incredibly tough SR51 remains handy and portable with long run time for search and rescue or even tactical missions. The side switch selects between two brightness levels, a strobe mode, and a lock-out function to prevent accidental activation. It remembers your last brightness setting and offers quick access to the strobe mode. The SR51 simply does it all.
But if you want to excavate more potential of the SR51, you may need some Olight diffuser filters. There are three colors for you choice, red, green, blue. These filters as follows help us get better using of SR51.The red filter is used to preserve the eyes natural adjusted night vision, and will disturb eyes the least of all colors which helps your eyes to stay adjusted for night conditions when map reading or navigating, use by aircraft personnel, military and hunters to avoid spooking game, deer and some other animals see very poorly in the red color spectrum.
The green filter is used with night vision equipment, produces less disturbing light, and good for navigation or map reading as it show contour lines better than red. Green also could be used for hunting as it will not alert game and it’s the brightest of all the colors for easier navigation and also makes it easier for others to see you.
The blue Filter is useful for map reading, hunting to avoid spooking game, tactical applications, blue provides a little more light for easier viewing or navigation over red filters.Well, if you have owned an Olight SR51 flashlight, you could get these filters, and you may find the better use of your flashlight. In addition, I have to say that, I would have gotten the Eagle Eyes LED flashlight A6 but for Olight SR51. Eagle Eyes A6’s CREE XP-L LED throws an impressive 800 lumens to almost 1.5 meters. But that’s enough for me, I think. I just need it for common illumination but not for searching in wild. The hard aviation aluminum body houses one 18650 battery. With a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours or more, it’s no need to consider replacing the cap for the whole life. So, in my opinion, it’s just enough or more for common daily use.
